I have the scoop people. Angela Gheorghiu, who was slated to portray Mimi in Lyric Opera Chicago's production of La Boheme opening October 1 has been shit-canned. A press release of some kind is due out Friday..
You heard it here first!!
And now, the day after, here is the story, just like I promised!

Could there be trouble for Angela at Lyric? I've heard it through the grapevine that she has been quite difficult for their new Boheme...I guess we'll know for sure on October 1st when the show goes up.
It will be interesting to see what happens with La Batshit (as many listeners have taken to calling her.) I only trust that whatever happens, something will go haywire!
